New Vinyl Flooring and Refinished Wood Floor

Close-up of flooring in need of an upgrade, in a home that was going to be put on the market.

Same space!
Consider It Done Construction installed new vinyl flooring, a new transition strip between the vinyl and the refinished wood floor, then painted the walls. The floor base was removed, lightly sanded, painted, and re-installed.

Add a Shower to a Half Bath

Pre-Sale prep on this home included adding a shower.

The shower stall will punch out into the garage. (Door to the right is access to the house from the garage.)

The shower is now in place, waiting for inspections.

All done. The paint is still wet in this photo.
Want to see the inside?

Much improved from the 'before' picture above, right?
- New paint, new flooring, new shower. -

Structural Dry Rot Fix on Deck

The support beams on this deck were seriously rotted. This was a dangerous situation.

Consider It Done Construction was able to solve the problem by shortening the beams and bringing in the support posts.

Check it out! It looks like it has always been in perfect condition.
The best part? The square footage of the deck above wasn't changed!

Bathroom Floor (with dry rot)

Doesn't that look nice?

The original flooring was no longer bonded to the floor, and was peeling up.
So, we removed the toilet, fixed the dry rot, and replaced the flooring.

From another angle.

It sure needed replacing!

Small Kitchen Renovation

This is the result of a 'light' kitchen remodel involving paint, countertops, new appliances and fixtures, lighting, and tile backsplash. Here's what we did:

This is what we started with.

We removed the upper cabinet, which was blocking the view into the family room. Wow, that really opened up the kitchen.

Next, we repaired the ceiling, painted the cabinets, brought in an electrician to update the lighting, and prepped the area for the countertop guys.

There's the beauty shot again.
Notice: The stove is no longer a cooktop, the vent hood is now a microwave/vent hood combo, and the eat-bar area has been extended. Oh, and that sweet cabinet door modification with glass fronts!

Remove and Replace Deck and Railing

This funky multi-tiered deck was dry rot damaged, and not very functional.

Consider It Done started by removing it.

There it is...a large, functional backyard deck.
Bring on the BBQ!

The new deck design looks like it's always been here.

This young family is going to get a lot of use out of this new deck!

Adding a Shower

Just beyond the toilet here, we're going to put in a shower.

Notice the shower pan is in...
We captured a hall closet to do this project. That's the entry just beyond the framing.
This was ready for the plumbing contractor to do his magic.

What a great improvement for this master bathroom!

Rot: Custom Wood Siding Repair

We've removed the gutter, prior to demo on the rotted wood.

Consider It Done Construction custom milled the wood onsite, so it matched perfectly.

The flashing between the new and old wood prevents moisture from getting in there and creating an issue in the future.
Once the customer paints this, it'll be perfect.

Wooden Backyard Fencing

This is the fence line where the new fence will be built.

Ta Da! How's that for a home improvement?

The backyard view before the fence.

After new fencing. What a difference.

Laundry Room Vinyl Flooring

The carpet in the laundry area was past its useful life.

We had to clear out the room prior to working on the floor.

Extensive dry rot was found and repaired. It even affected the stairs, so we removed them, too.

What a tremendous difference.

Consider It Done Construction found and repaired the dry rot, re-sheeted the floor, built new, stronger stairs up to the main house, and laid new one-piece vinyl flooring.
