What follows are Before and After pictures of a recent paint job. The color is somewhat hard to discern because of the bright sunlight, so we'll tell you here: The home was originally light blue with darker blue trim. We upgraded it to a beige body and off white trim.

Exterior Painting Improvements

Here's a home in need of updating.

Notice the landscaping, new roof, pressure washing and painting. We also removed the old/tired planter boxes that were hanging over the garage door.

Exterior Painting

A house badly in need of a paint job. 

All masked off. This is the primer coat. 

Done.

Fascia Rot Repair

The seam in this gutter had been leaking for years. 

The constant water on the fascia eventually caused rot.

Consider It Done Construction took off the gutters, replaced the fascia, primed, and painted to match. Then, re-hung the gutters. It looks like we were never there!

Exterior Dry Rot Damage

The dry rot on this home, unfortunately, was extensive.

Damage went all the way into the roof truss area, and the beam underneath.

This is what the repairs looked like. Notice the soffit area above the window and the 'T' bracket to support a new section of beam. 

The homeowner did the painting and roofing.

New Double Staircase

Dry rot had claimed these stairs.

We re-designed the stairs so each step was of equal height. That's why there's more steps in the after picture. Oh, and Consider It Done Construction painted the house, too.

Fascia Dry Rot

This was under the old gutters. 

 All the rot needed to be removed and replaced.

Here's a picture of the job as we were fixing it.

All fixed! The new gutters will go on right over this.

Custom Window Sill Flashing

Sometimes, on older houses, the window sills take a pounding.
Consider It Done Construction has perfected a technique to protect window sills in areas where rot has been a problem in the past.

We custom-form flashing to fit the sill, which seals the sill completely.
If we find any other rotten wood around the window, it's replaced at that time.

After priming and painting, it's like we were never there!

Entry Trim Repair

Just a little dry rot repair on this entry.

Once it's painted, it looks perfect again.

Window Trim Dry Rot Fix

After installing new windows, the trim and siding was repaired. Consider It Done Construction painted with new colors, which were first approved by the customer.

Exterior Touch Up

This beautiful home had some dry rot problems with the trim on the first floor windows. The deadline for the job was looming, and the weather was not cooperating. Consider It Done Construction came up with this solution: Fix, paint, and mask until dry.

Unorthodox, but it worked!

Barrier Posts

 A fun project: repair and protect this downspout.

 

Consider It Done Construction cut out the asphalt, installed the posts, filled the posts with concrete, replaced the downspout, and repaired the asphalt. When the concrete was dry, we painted the posts to match.

Window Replacement

 Old aluminum windows and wood trim were removed with the old window.

New windows for the entire home were installed with new flashing and new trim. Once all the windows were replaced, Consider It Done Construction painted the exterior of the house and garage.

Siding and Trim

 

Wow, this place needed help.

 

New siding, new trim around windows, new roof, and gutters. 

Then, new exterior paint. The vinyl windows stayed the same. 

Whole House Remodel

This little house needed a big fix. 

It needed a roof, sump pump, siding, gutters and a new front door.

The owner wanted the deck extended, but didn't want to remove the existing decking. Consider It Done Construction added a bit of deck on the side. Access to under the house was required for repairs. Just need to finish the touch-up paint, and it's ready for the renters.
